Ephesians 2:11

Ephesians 2:11

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

a. NLT: Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts.

b. NIV: Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)—

c. YLT: Wherefore, remember, that ye were once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands,

d. Amplified Bible Classic: Therefore, remember that at one time you were Gentiles (heathens) in the flesh, called Uncircumcision by those who called themselves Circumcision, [itself a mere mark] in the flesh made by human hands.

e. Worrell Translation: Wherefore, remember that ye, the gentiles in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in flesh made by hands.

f. Wuest Translation: On this account be remembering that at one time, you, the Gentiles in the flesh, the ones habitually called uncircumcision by that which is called circumcision in the flesh made by hand.

g. Peshitta Eastern Text: Wherefore remember that you were Gentiles in the flesh from the beginning, and you were called Uncircumcision, differing form that which is called Circumcision, which is the work of the hands in the flesh.
