Genesis 3:11

Genesis 3:11

And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

a. NLT: “Who told you that you were naked?” the LORD God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”

2. “…Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”

1). God had commanded Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

a). Genesis 2:16, 17 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

2). Notice that immediately after their disobedience the nature of spiritual death had entered their spirits. They experienced shame and fear. The prince of the power of the air was already working in them.
