Ephesians 4:21

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

a. NLT: Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him,

b. NIV: When you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

c. YLT: If so be ye did hear him, and in him were taught, as truth is in Jesus;

d. Amplified Bible Classic: Assuming that you have really heard Him and been taught by Him, as [all] Truth is in Jesus [embodied and personified in Him],

e. Worrell Translation: If indeed, ye heard Him, and were taught in Him, as truth is in Jesus.

1. “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him…”

a. If so be that [Strong: 1489 eige i'-gheh from 1487 and 1065; if indeed, seeing that, unless, (with negative) otherwise:--if (so be that, yet).]

b. ye have heard [Strong: 191 akouo ak-oo'-o a primary verb; to hear (in various senses):--give (in the) audience (of), come (to the ears), (shall) hear(-er, -ken), be noised, be reported, understand.]

c. him [Strong: 846 autos ow-tos' from the particle au (perhaps akin to the base of 109 through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative 1438) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which.]

d. and [Strong: 2532 kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

e. have been taught [Strong: 1321 kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]
