For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

1. “For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ…”

a. For [Strong: 3754. hoti hot'-ee neuter of 3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because:--as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why.]

b. [unto] you [Strong: 5213. humin hoo-min' irregular dative case of 5210; to (with or by) you:--ye, you, your(-selves).]

c. [it is] given [Strong: 5483. charizomai khar-id'-zom-ahee middle voice from 5485; to grant as a favor, i.e. gratuitously, in kindness, pardon or rescue:--deliver, (frankly) forgive, (freely) give, grant.]

2. “...not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;”
