Hebrews 2:10

 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

a. NLT: God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.

b. NIV: In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.

c. YLT: For it was becoming to Him, because of whom are the all things, and through whom are the all things, many sons to glory bringing, the author of their salvation through sufferings to make perfect,

d. Amplified Bible Classic: For it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory, should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering.

e. Worrell Translation: For it was becoming Him, on Whose account are all things, and through Whome are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to perfect, through suffering, the Captain of their salvation.

1. “For it became him, for whom are all things…”

2. “…and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory…”
