John 17:8
For I have given unto them the words which thou
gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that
I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
a. NLT: for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They
accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.
b. NIV: For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them.
They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent
me.
c. YLT: because the sayings that Thou hast given to me, I
have given to them, and they themselves received, and have known truly, that
from Thee I came forth, and they did believe that Thou didst send me.
d. Amplified Bible: For the [uttered] words that You gave Me I have
given them; and they have received and accepted [them] and
have come to know positively and in reality [to believe with
absolute assurance] that I came forth from Your presence, and they have
believed and are convinced that You did send Me.
e. Worrell Translation: because the words which Thou gavest Me I have
given to them, and they received them, and knew truly that I came forth from
Thee, and believed that Thou didst send Me.
