So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.

a. ASV: So they went up, and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, to the entrance of Hamath.

1. “So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob…”

a. 1). Looking at a map they travelled almost 400 miles one way. Moody Atlas of the Bible has the spies travelling about 50 miles north of Damascus. This kind of reconnaissance would easily take 40 days.
