 1 Thessalonians 2:11

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father doth his children,


a. 1. “As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you…”


a. As [Strong: 2509. kathaper kath-ap'-er from 2505 and 4007; exactly as:--(even, as well) as.]


b. [ye] know [Strong: 1492. eido i'-do a primary verb; used only in certain past tenses, the others being borrowed from the equivalent 3700 and 3708; properly, to see (literally or figuratively); by implication, (in the perfect tense only) to know:--be aware, behold, X can (+ not tell), consider, (have) know(-ledge), look (on), perceive, see, be sure, tell, understand, wish, wot.]

f. comforted [Strong: 3888. paramutheomai par-am-oo-theh'-om-ahee from 3844 and the middle voice of a derivative of 3454; to relate near, i.e. (by implication) encourage, console:--comfort.]
