Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,

1. “Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,”

a. Out of [Strong: 4480 min min or minniy {min-nee'}; or minney (constructive plural) {min-nay'}; (Isaiah 30:11); for 4482; properly, a part of; hence (prepositionally), from or out of in many senses (as follows):--above, after, among, at, because of, by (reason of), from (among), in, X neither, X nor, (out) of, over, since, X then, through, X whether, with.]

b. that [Strong: 1931 huw' hoo of which the feminine (beyond the Pentateuch) is hiyw {he}; a primitive word, the third person pronoun singular, he (she or it); only expressed when emphatic or without a verb; also (intensively) self, or (especially with the article) the same; sometimes (as demonstrative) this or that; occasionally (instead of copula) as or are:--he, as for her, him(-self), it, the same, she (herself), such, that (...it), these, they, this, those, which (is), who.]

e. Asshur [Strong: 804 'Ashshuwr ash-shoor' or iAshshur {ash-shoor'}; apparently from 833 (in the sense of successful); Ashshur, the second son of Shem; also his descendants and the country occupied by them (i.e. Assyria), its region and its empire:--Asshur, Assur, Assyria, Assyrians.]

f. [and] built [Strong: 1129 banah baw-naw' a primitive root; to build (literally and figuratively):--(begin to) build(-er), obtain children, make, repair, set (up), X surely.]

g. [Strong: 853 'eth ayth apparent contracted from 226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely):--(as such unrepresented in English).]

h. Nineveh [Strong: 5210 Niynveh nee-nev-ay' of foreign origin; Nineveh, the capital of Assyria:--Nineveh.]

i. [Strong: 853 'eth ayth apparent contracted from 226 in the demonstrative sense of entity; properly, self (but generally used to point out more definitely the object of a verb or preposition, even or namely):--(as such unrepresented in English).]

j. [and the] city [Strong: 5892 `iyr eer or (in the plural) par {awr}; or ayar (Judges 10:4) {aw-yar'}; from 5782 a city (a place guarded by waking or a watch) in the widest sense (even of a mere encampment or post):--Ai (from margin), city, court (from margin), town.]

k. Rehoboth [Strong: 7344 Rchobowth rekh-o-both' or Rchoboth {rekh-o-both'}; plural of 7339; streets; Rechoboth, a place in Assyria and one in Palestine:-- Rehoboth.]

l. [and] Calah [Strong: 3625 Kelach keh'-lakh the same as 3624; Kelach, a place in Assyria: -Calah.]

1). The intriguing thing about Nimrod is Scripture does not mention his children but rather it mentions the cities he built.

 

a). Nimrod built babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh.

 

b). Out of Nimrod’s kingdom went Asshur [possibly Nimrod’s son or possibly Shem’s son: Genesis 10:22] and built Nineveh, Rehoboth, Calah and Resen.
