Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,

1. “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,”

a. [Ye] hypocrites [Strong: 5273 hupŏkritēs, hoop-ok-ree-tace'; from G5271; an actor under an assumed character (stage-player), i.e. (figuratively) a dissembler ("hypocrite":—hypocrite.]

b. well [Strong: 2573 kalōs, kal-oce'; adverb from G2570; well (usually morally):—(in a) good (place), honestly, + recover, (full) well.]

c. [did] Esaias [Strong: 2268  Hēsaḯas, hay-sah-ee'-as; of Hebrew origin (H3470); Hesaias (i.e. Jeshajah), an Israelite:—Esaias.]

d. prophesy [Strong: 4395 prophēteúō, prof-ate-yoo'-o; from G4396; to foretell events, divine, speak under inspiration, exercise the prophetic office:—prophesy.]
