Acts 13:43
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the
Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to
them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
a. NLT: Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed
Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace
of God.
b. NIV: When the congregation was dismissed, many of
the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked
with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.
c. YLT: and the synagogue having been dismissed, many
of the Jews and of the devout proselytes did follow Paul and Barnabas, who,
speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
d. Amplified Bible Classic: And when the congregation
of the synagogue dispersed, many of the Jews and the devout converts to Judaism
followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked to them and urged them to continue [to
trust themselves to and to stand fast] in the grace (the unmerited favor and
blessing) of God.
e. Worrell Translation: And, the synagogue having been
dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas;
