And thou shalt put into the ark
the testimony which I shall give thee.

place inside it the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant,
which I will give to you.

ark were the two tables of stone, but during the approximately 40 years there
were other items placed inside the ark. A jar of manna and Aaronb’s rod that
budded.

that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
