Romans 6:19
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:
for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity
unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto
holiness.
1. “I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your
flesh…”

1). Before the new birth we did not have the
strength to live right. The whole of Romans 6 says that now because of Christ
we can live above the law of sin and death.

1). Peter wrote in his first epistle and said
that our past life, before Christ was more than enough for us to live after the
flesh. We should now to please God.
a). 1 Peter 4:1-4 Forasmuch then as Christ
hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind:
for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of
his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice
us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness,
lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run
not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
