1 Samuel 2:12

Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

a. ASV:  Now the sons of Eli were base men; they knew not Jehovah.

b. YLT: And the sons of Eli are sons of worthlessness, they have not known Jehovah.

c. Amplified Bible Classic: The sons of Eli were base and worthless; they did not know or regard the Lord.

1. “Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial…”

a. 1). This Hebrew word is translated wicked, ungodly, evil, naughty, and of course Belial. It is also translated once in the New Testament. 2 Corinthians 6:15

2. “...they knew not the LORD.”

a.
