And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

But this tool yet another seven months, so  that they were in the Ark slightly over a year, 371 days altogether. After 2 and a half months, they could see the tops of the nearby mountains.
