Romans 6:12
Let not sin therefore
reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
a. NLT: Do not let sin control the
way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
c. YLT: Let not then the sin reign
in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires;
d. Amplified Bible: Let not sin
therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make
you yield to its cravings and be subject to its lusts and evil
passions.
