1 Chronicles 10:10

And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.

a. NLT: They placed his armor in the temple of their gods, and they fastened his head to the temple of Dagon.

b. NIV: They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung up his head in the temple of Dagon.

1.  “And they put his armour in the house of their gods…”

d. of their gods 'elohiym] [Strong: plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.]

1). The comparative verse 1 Samuel 31:10 says this was the house of Ashtoroth.

2. “…and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.”

d. of Dagon [1712 * Dagown] [Strong: from 1709; the fish-god; Dagon, a Philistine deity:--Dagon.]

1). Both passages, 1 Samuel 31:8-10 and 1 Chronicles 10:8-10 use the same Hebrew word and translate it “round about”, implying that possibly the trophies were rotated around the country to their idol temples.
