Job 42:5

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

a. ASV: I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now mine eye seeth thee:

b. YLT: By the hearing of the ear I heard Thee, And now mine eye hath seen Thee.

c. Classic Amplified: I had heard of You [only] by the hearing of the ear, but now my [spiritual] eye sees You.

1. “I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear…”

a. [I have heard [of thee] [Strong: 8088 shema` shay'-mah from 8085; something heard, i.e. a sound, rumor, announcement; abstractly, audience:--bruit, fame, hear(-ing), loud, report, speech, tidings.]

b.
