And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.

1). Robert A. Tourville, The Acts of the Apostles: Felix’s knowledge of te Christian “WAY” is described as “more exact knowledge of the Way.” He had been in Caesarea several years. Philip had evangelized the city and lived there several years (Acts 8:40; 21:8). Cornelius one of his centurions with many others had been converted and filled with the Spirit several years before (Acts 101, 44-46). Peter preached here and lived at Joppa for some time. Numerous Christians lived here. Paul had himself passed through Caesarea at the end of his second and third missions. Felix knew the deep impact Christ had made on the Jewish nation.
