Deuteronomy 18:12
For all that do
these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these
abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
a. NLT: Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD. It is
because the other nations have done these detestable things that the LORD your
God will drive them out ahead of you.
b. NIV: Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because
of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those
nations before you.
c. YLT: 'For the abomination of Jehovah is every one
doing these, and because of these abominations is Jehovah thy God dispossessing
them from thy presence.
d. Amplified Bible: For everyone who does these
things is utterly repulsive to the Lord; and because of these detestable
practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you.
e. Septuagint: For every one that does these things is an abomination to
the Lord thy God; for because of these abominations the Lord will destroy them
from before thy face.
