Isaiah 60:14


The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

2. “…and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet…”

1). The rise of the hatred of the Jewish people around the world is shocking. It is clearly a hatred birthed in hell against God’s Covenant people. It is a demonic hatred that the Scriptures foretold.


a). Zechariah 12:1-3  The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.


2). Scripture warns against cursing Israel and promises blessing to those who bless Israel. The folks around the world cursing Israel are placing a curse upon themselves.


a). Genesis 12:1-3  Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.


3). The time will come though, after the return of Christ, during the Melliannal reign the the attitude towards the Jewish people will change. Other Scriptural witnesses describing licking the dust of their feet.


a). Isaiah 49:23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.


4). The world’s attitude toward Israel will change from one of hatred and disrespect to honor and respect.


a). Isaiah 61:5-9  And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

61:8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

61:9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.


3. “…and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”

c. [of the] LORD [Strong: 3068 Yᵉhôvâh, yeh-ho-vaw'; from H1961; (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jeho-vah, Jewish national name of God:—Jehovah, the Lord.]
