30:14
But the word is very nigh unto thee,
in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

1). When laying out the plan of receiving salvation,
the Apostle Paul quoted this verse. Paul removes the phrase, “that thou mayest
do it”, and replaces it with “the word of faith which we preach.”
a). Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word
is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith,
which we preach;
2). In doing so Paul was linking together at
least these two passages illustrating the importance of believing with the
heart and confessing with the mouth, in order to receive or to obey the word of
God. It is the word of faith as written in Romans 10:8 and the spirit of faith
as written in 2 Corinthians.

Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is
written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and
therefore speak;
c). Throughout the word of God but
particularly in the New Testament, we should continually keep in mind passages
that declare who and what we are “in Christ”, ‘by Christ”, “for Christ”, “in
whom” (Christ), “in him” (Christ), and all like passages. We should in
obedience begin to choose to believe these Scriptures and confess them with our
mouth and we shall have them.
