How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

1. “How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy…”

1). The grace of God aroused in them the desire to give alms, even while they themselves were in a great trial and in deep poverty, they overflowed in wealth of lavish generosity on their part. It was the grace of God that did this in them.
