And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

1). The following translation if you want to call it that, is clearly corrupt and is cited by pro-abortion folks. There is nothing in the text or in the Hebrew to suggest pregnancy or a miscarriage. Yet the translators of this verse put in both. Granted, the curse that would come upon the unfaithful wife would apparently end her child bearing days, but the hebrew wording does not state any pregnancy nor a miscarriage.

a). Numbers 5:27 [Common English Bible] When he has made her drink the water, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, then the water that brings the curse will enter her, causing bitterness, and her womb will discharge and she will miscarry. The woman will be a curse among her people.

b). It is not a surprise that this Bible translation comes up like this.
