If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

a. ASV: When a man voweth a vow unto Jehovah, or sweareth an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.

b. YLT: 'When a man voweth a vow to Jehovah, or hath sworn an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he doth not pollute his word; according to all that is going out from his mouth he doth.

c. Amplified Bible Classic: If a man vows a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break and profane his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

d. Septuagint: Whatsoever man shall vow a vow to the Lord, or swear an oath, or bind himself with an obligation upon his soul, he shall not break his word; all that shall come out of his mouth he shall do.

e. Stone Edition Torah/Prophets/Writings [In the Jewish Translation Numbers 30:2 is Numbers 30:3]: If a man will take a vow to HASHEM or swear an oath to establish a prohibition upon himself, he shall not desecrate his word; according to whatsoever comes from his mouth shall he do.

1. “If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond…”

a.
