And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

1). The reaction on this group of people is amazing. This man had terrorized the area for a long time. The text earlier described him being bound with fetters and chains “often” which means many times, but he empowered with demonic supernatural strength broke them every time.
