Exodus 12:36
And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the
Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they
spoiled the Egyptians.
a. NLT: The LORD caused the
Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites
whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!

1). The different translations
reflect the Hebrew meanings of the word for “spoiled. The Amplified says they “stripped”
Egypt of its wealth. The Jewish translation declares they “emptied” Egypt of
its wealth. Again some writers have said that all this wealth was the amount of
wages they were denied during there years in slavery. Looking at the meanings
of the word I tend to agree. As I said in the previous verse study, this is the
materials they used to build the Tabernacle.

with his heart ye shall take my offering.
