Exodus 12:7


And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

1). The blood placed upon the side posts and the lintel is a type and foreshadow of Christ shedding his blood for our redemption, witnessed throughout the New Testament. The shape of the cross.


a). 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.


b). 1 Peter 1:18-20 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,


c). Hebrews 9:13, 14 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?


2. “…wherein they shall eat it.”

As it is indeclinable, it is often accompanied by the personal pronoun expletively, used to show the connection.]
