Matthew 26:25

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

a. NLT: Judas, the one who would betray him, also asked, “Rabbi, am I the one?” And Jesus told him, “You have said it.”

b. NIV: Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely you don’t mean me, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said so.”

c. YLT: And Judas -- he who delivered him up -- answering said, 'Is it I, Rabbi?' He saith to him, 'Thou hast said.'

d. Amplified Bible: Judas, the betrayer, said, Surely it is not I, is it, Master? He said to him, You have stated [the fact].

a. Master [4461 * rhabbi] [Strong: of Hebrew origin (7227 with pronominal suffix); my master, i.e Rabbi, as an official title of honor:--Master, Rabbi.]

b. is [1510 * eimi] [Strong: the first person singular present indicative; a prolonged form of a primary and defective verb; I exist (used only when emphatic):--am, have been, X it is I, was.]

1). Albert Barnes Commentary: This is a form of assenting or affirming. Thou hast said the truth.

2). Adam Clarke Commentary: "Ye have said," was a common form of expression for Yes. It Is so.
