Hebrews 13:16

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

1. “But to do good and to communicate forget not…”

a. But [Strong: 1161 dé, deh; a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:—also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).]

b. [to] do good [Strong: 2140 eupoiḯa, yoo-poy-ee'-ah; from a compound of G2095 and G4160; well-doing, i.e. beneficence:—to do good.]

d. [to] communicate [Strong: 2842 koinōnía, koy-nohn-ee'-ah; from G2844; partnership, i.e. (literally) participation, or (social) intercourse, or (pecuniary) benefaction:—(to) communicate(-ation), communion, (contri-)distribution, fellowship.]

e. forget [Strong: 1950 epilanthánomai, ep-ee-lan-than'-om-ahee; middle voice from G1909 and G2990; to lose out of mind; by implication, to neglect:—(be) forget(-ful of).]

2.  “...for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

1). The ceremonial sacrifices of the Mosaic Covenant have ceased because of Christ one for all sacrifice.

a). Hebrews 9:24-26 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

2). But in this Covenant we still offer sacrifices that please God.

a). Romans 12:1, 2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3). Sacrifices that include confessing His word.

a). Hebrews 13:15, 16 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
