Genesis 13:15

For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

a. NLT: I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.

b. NIV: All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspringfn forever.

c. YLT: for the whole of the land which thou are seeing, to thee I give it, and to thy seed -- to the age.

d. Amplified Bible: For all the land which you see I will give to you and to your posterity forever.

e. Septuagint: for all the land which thou seest, I will give it to thee and to thy seed for ever. 

f. Stone Edition Torah/Writings/Prophets: For all the land that you sewe, to you will I give it, and to your descendants forever.

1. “For all the land which thou seest…”

a. For all the land [776 * ‘erets] [Strong: from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):--X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X natins, way, + wilderness, world.]

b. which thou seest [7200 * ra’ah] [Strong: a primitive root; to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative):--advise self, appear, approve, behold, X certainly, consider, discern, (make to) enjoy, have experience, gaze, take heed, X indeed, X joyfully, lo, look (on, one another, one on another, one upon another, out, up, upon), mark, meet, X be near, perceive, present, provide, regard, (have) respect, (fore-, cause to, let) see(-r, -m, one another), shew (self), X sight of others, (e-)spy, stare, X surely, X think, view, visions.]

1). The LORD was telling Abram to look in all directions as far as his eyes could see. As it turns out the boundaries would go far beyond what Abram could see with his natural eyes.

2. “…to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”

a. to thee will I give it [5414 * nathan] [Strong: a primitive root; to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.):--add, apply, appoint, ascribe, assign, X avenge, X be ((healed)), bestow, bring (forth, hither), cast, cause, charge, come, commit, consider, count, + cry, deliver (up), direct, distribute, do, X doubtless, X without fail, fasten, frame, X get, give (forth, over, up), grant, hang (up), X have, X indeed, lay (unto charge, up), (give) leave, lend, let (out), + lie, lift up, make, + O that, occupy, offer, ordain, pay, perform, place, pour, print, X pull , put (forth), recompense, render, requite, restore, send (out), set (forth), shew, shoot forth (up), + sing, + slander, strike, (sub-)mit, suffer, X surely, X take, thrust, trade, turn, utter, + weep, + willingly, + withdraw, + would (to) God, yield.]

b. and to thy seed [2233 * zera’] [Strong: from 2232; seed; figuratively, fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity:--X carnally, child, fruitful, seed(-time), sowing- time.]

c. forever [5769 * ‘owlam] [Strong: from 5956; properly, concealed, i.e. the vanishing point; generally, time out of mind (past or future), i.e. (practically) eternity; frequentatively, adverbial (especially with prepositional prefix) always:--alway(-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, (n-))ever(-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end).]

1). Here the land is promised to Abram’s seed for eternity. This of course lines up with many other Scriptures.

a). Psalm 105:6-11 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

105:7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

195:9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

105:10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

105:11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
