Luke 2:11

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

a. NLT: The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

b. NIV: Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

c. Amplified Bible: For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord!

d. Worrell Translation: because there was born to-day, in the city of david, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.

1. “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour…”

b. unto you [5213 * hymin] [Strong:  irregular dative case of 5210; to (with or by) you:--ye, you, your(-selves).]

c. is born [5088 * tikto] [Strong:  a strengthened form of a primary teko tek'-o (which is used only as alternate in certain tenses); to produce (from seed, as a mother, a plant, the earth, etc.), literally or figuratively:--bear, be born, bring forth, be delivered, be in travail.]

d. this day [4594 * ] [Strong: neuter (as adverb) of a presumed compound of the article 3588 (t changed to s) and 2250; on the (i.e. this) day (or night current or just passed); generally, now (i.e. at present, hitherto):--this (to-)day.]
