lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round
about them: and they were sore afraid.

Personally I believe the “glory” here was a literal brightness similar to that
spoken of in Ezekiel.

the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.
