Luke 16:24
And
he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he
may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented
in this flame.

rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to
dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these
flames.’

he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the
tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this
fire.’

1). The
rich man is still in hell, as are Korah and his followers (Numbers 16:29-33),
as are all the wicked who opposed God and his people (Ezekiel 32:17-32.) They will be there until the Great White Throne
Judgment and then they will be cast into the lake of ire and will be there for
all of eternity.
a). Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on
it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no
place for them.
20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand
before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is
the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works.
20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in
it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were
judged every man according to their works.
20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of
fire. This is the second death.
20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the
book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
2). The sad truth is that it is not God’s will that
any perish but all come to repentance
Hell was created for the devil and his angels not
for man.
a). Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on
the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for
the devil and his angels:
