Proverbs 3:6
In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
a. NLT: Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to

Wisdom is referred to in a feminine gender.
a). Proverbs 4:5-9 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither
decline from the words of my mouth.
4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall
keep thee.
4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy
getting get understanding.
4:8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to
honour, when thou dost embrace her.
4:9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory
shall she deliver to thee.

1. “In all thy ways acknowledge him…”
a. In all [Strong: 3605 kol kole or (Jer. 33:8) kowl {kole}; from 3634;
properly, the whole; hence, all, any or every (in the singular only, but often
in a plural sense):--(in) all (manner, (ye)), altogether, any (manner), enough,
every (one, place, thing), howsoever, as many as, (no-)thing, ought, whatsoever,
(the) whole, whoso(-ever).]
b. thy ways [Strong: 1870 derek deh'-rek from 1869; a road (as trodden);
figuratively, a course of life or mode of action, often adverb:--along, away,
because of, + by, conversation, custom, (east-)ward, journey, manner,
passenger, through, toward, (high-) (path-)way(-side), whither(-soever).]
c. acknowledge him [Strong: 3045 yada` yaw-dah' a primitive root; to know
(properly, to ascertain by seeing); used in a great variety of senses,
figuratively, literally, euphemistically and inferentially (including
observation, care, recognition; and causatively, instruction, designation,
punishment, etc.) (as follow):--acknowledge, acquaintance(-ted with), advise,
answer, appoint, assuredly, be aware, (un-)awares, can(-not), certainly,
comprehend, consider, X could they, cunning, declare, be diligent, (can, cause
to) discern, discover, endued with, familiar friend, famous, feel, can have, be
(ig-)norant, instruct, kinsfolk, kinsman, (cause to let, make) know, (come to

Acknowledge Him as Lord in all your ways.
a). Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which
is your reasonable service.
2. “…and he shall direct thy paths.”
a. and he [Strong: huw' hoo of which the feminine (beyond the Pentateuch)
is hiyw {he}; a primitive word, the third person pronoun singular, he (she or
it); only expressed when emphatic or without a verb; also (intensively) self,
or (especially with the article) the same; sometimes (as demonstrative) this or
that; occasionally (instead of copula) as or are:--he, as for her, him(-self),
it, the same, she (herself), such, that (...it), these, they, this, those,
which (is), who.]
b. shall direct [Strong: 3474 yashar yaw-shar' a primitive root; to be
straight or even; figuratively, to be (causatively, to make) right, pleasant,
prosperous:--direct, fit, seem good (meet), + please (will), be (esteem, go)
right (on), bring (look, make, take the) straight (way), be upright(-ly).]
c. thy paths [Strong: 734 'orach o'-rakh from 732; a well-trodden road
(literally or figuratively); also a caravan:--manner, path, race, rank,
traveller, troop, (by-, high-)way.]

This is a promise of God to believers. Acknowledge Him as Lord in all your
ways, presenting our bodies to him in obedience, trusting him and not our own
thoughts and he will direct our paths. We will know his will.
a). Romans 12:1, 2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
