1). This
man was begging for someone to go to his brothers and warn them not to end up
in hell. Abraham’s response was “They have Moses and the prophets, let them
hear them.” In other words all of the sufficient warnings concerning hell and
how to avoid going there have been given in the Bible. Likewise, all of the
sufficient instruction about how to make heaven our home has also been given in
the Bible. If we desire to have a God pleasing life, in Covenant with Him and
make heaven our home we need to spend time in His word.
a). Psalm
1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor
standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
1:2 But
his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and
night.
1:3 And he
shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his
fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth
shall prosper.
