Ephesians 2:22

Ephesians 2:22

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

a. NLT: Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.

b. NIV: And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

c. YLT: In whom also ye are builded together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

d. Amplified Bible Classic: In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

e. Worrell Translation: In whom ye also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

f. Wuest Translation: In the Lord, in whom also you are being built together into a permanent dwelling place of God by the Spirit.

1. “In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”

a. In [Strong: 1722 en en a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest (intermediate between 1519 and 1537); "in," at, (up-)on, by, etc.:--about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-)by (+ all means), for (... sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-)in(-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-)on, (open-)ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, (speedi-)ly, X that, X there(-in, -on), through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), under, when, where(-with), while, with(-in). c. ye [Strong: 5210 humeis hoo-mice' irregular plural of 4771; you (as subjective of verb):--ye (yourselves), you.]

d. also [Strong: 2532 kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

e. are builded together [Strong: 4925 sunoikodomeo soon-oy-kod-om-eh'-o from 4862 and 3618; to construct, i.e. (passively) to compose (in company with other Christians, figuratively):--build together.]
