Ephesians 3:5
Which in other ages was not made known unto the
sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the
Spirit;
a. NLT: God did not reveal it to previous
generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and
prophets.

1. “Which in other ages was not made known unto the
sons of men…”
a. Which [Strong: 3739 hos hos, including
feminine he hay, and neuter ho ho probably a primary word (or perhaps a
form of the article 3588); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun,
who, which, what, that:--one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which,
who(-m, -se), etc.]

1). There were instances of it being mentioned in
the Old Testament but was not known as it was revealed in the New Testament.
a). Isaiah 56:6, 7 Also the sons of the
stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name
of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from
polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain,
and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their
sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an
house of prayer for all people.
2. “…as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles
and prophets by the Spirit;”

1). The New Covenant was plsnned
before the creation of the earth.

16:25, 26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and

scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting
God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your
vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the
foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
2). The revelation of the New Covenant was part of
what Jesus was referring to when he spoke of the coming of the Holy Spirit and
what he would teach.

16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is
come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to

16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine:
therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
