Ephesians 3:1

Ephesians 3:1

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

a. NLT: When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles,

1. “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,”

a. For this [Strong: 5127 toutou too'-too genitive case singular masculine or neuter of 3778; of (from or concerning) this (person or thing):--here(-by), him, it, + such manner of, that, thence(-forth), thereabout, this, thus.]

b. cause [Strong: 5484 charin khar'-in accusative case of 5485 as preposition; through favor of, i.e. on account of:--be-(for) cause of, for sake of, +...fore, X reproachfully.]

c. I [Strong: 1473 ego eg-o' a primary pronoun of the first person I (only expressed when emphatic):--I, me.]

d. Paul [Strong: 3972 Paulos pow'-los of Latin origin; (little; but remotely from a derivative of 3973, meaning the same); Paulus, the name of a Roman and of an apostle:--Paul, Paulus.]
