Joshua 2:16
Joshua 2:16
And
she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and
hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward
may ye go your way.
1.
“And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you…”
a. Rahab was doing everything she
could to guarantee the safety of the spies. From the wording of Joshua 2:7 it
appears she pointed the king’s men in the eastern direction toward the Jordan
River and steered the spies to the west toward the mountains.
1). James 2:25 Likewise also was
not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers,
and had sent them out another way?
2.
“…and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and
afterward may ye go your way.”
a. To make sure, she told them to
hide out in the mountain for three days.
