1 Timothy 5:11

But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;

a. ASV:  But younger widows refuse: for when they have waxed wanton against Christ, they desire to marry;

  

b. YLT: And younger widows be refusing, for when they may revel against the Christ, they wish to marry,

d. Amplified Bible Classic: But refuse [to enroll on this list the] younger widows, for when they become restive and their natural desires grow strong, they withdraw themselves against Christ [and] wish to marry [again].

1. “But the younger widows refuse…”

a. But [Strong: 1161 dé, deh; a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:—also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).]

b. [the] younger [Strong:  néos, neh'-os; including the comparative νεότερος neóteros neh-o'-ter-os; a primary word; "new", i.e. (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively, regenerate:—new, young.]

c. widows [Strong: 5503 chḗra, khay'-rah; feminine of a presumed derivative apparently from the base of G5490 through the idea of deficiency; a widow (as lacking a husband), literally or figuratively:—widow.]

d. refuse [Strong: 3868 paraitéomai, par-ahee-teh'-om-ahee; from G3844 and the middle voice of G154; to beg off, i.e. deprecate, decline, shun:—avoid, (make) excuse, intreat, refuse, reject.]

2.  “...for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;”

a. for [Strong: 1063 gár, gar; a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles):—and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet.]

c. [they have begun] to wax wanton against [Strong: 2691 katastrēniáō, kat-as-tray-nee-ah'-o; from G2596 and G4763; to become voluptuous against:—begin to wax wanton against.]

d. Christ [Strong: 5547  Christós, khris-tos'; from G5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:—Christ.]

e. they will [Strong: 2309  thélō, thel'-o; apparently strengthened from the alternate form of G138; to determine (as an active option from subjective impulse; whereas G1014 properly denotes rather a passive acquiescence in objective considerations), i.e. choose or prefer (literally or figuratively); by implication, to wish, i.e. be inclined to (sometimes adverbially, gladly); impersonally for the future tense, to be about to; by Hebraism, to delight in:—desire, be disposed (forward), intend, list, love, mean, please, have rather, (be) will (have, -ling, - ling(-ly)).]
