Hebrews 9:6

Hebrews 9:6

Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

a. ASV: Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services;
  
b. YLT: And these things having been thus prepared, into the first tabernacle, indeed, at all times the priests do go in, performing the services,
d. Amplified Bible Classic: These arrangements having thus been made, the priests enter [habitually] into the outer division of the tabernacle in performance of their ritual acts of worship.
1. “Now when these things were thus ordained…”

a. Now [Strong: 1161 dé, deh; a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:—also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).]
b. [when] these things [Strong: 5130 toútōn, too'-tone; genitive case plural masculine or neuter of G3778; of (from or concerning) these (persons or things):—such, their, these (things), they, this sort, those.]
c. [were] thus [Strong: 3779 hoútō, hoo'-to; adverb from G3778; in this way (referring to what precedes or follows):—after that, after (in) this manner, as, even (so), for all that, like(-wise), no more, on this fashion(-wise), so (in like manner), thus, what.]

d.  ordained [Strong: 2680 kataskeuázō, kat-ask-yoo-ad'-zo; from G2596 and a derivative of G4632; to prepare thoroughly (properly, by external equipment; whereas G2090 refers rather to internal fitness); by implication, to construct, create:—build, make, ordain, prepare.]

2. “...the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.”

f. j. accomplishing [Strong: 2005 epiteléō, ep-ee-tel-eh'-o; from G1909 and G5055; to fulfill further (or completely), i.e. execute; by implication, to terminate, undergo:—accomplish, do, finish, (make) (perfect), perform(X -ance).]

k. the [Strong: 3588 [tas] ho ho, including the feminine he hay, and the neuter to to in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.]

l. service [of God] [Strong: 2999  latreía, lat-ri'-ah; from G3000; ministration of God, i.e. worship:—(divine) service.]

1). Twice a day every day in the morning and in the evening they took care of the lamps and the incense.

a). Exodus 30:7, 8 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
30:8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.
