1 Timothy 6:8

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

a. ASV: But having food and covering we shall be therewith content.

  

b. YLT: But having food and raiment -- with these we shall suffice ourselves;

d. Amplified Bible Classic: But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied).

1. “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.”

e. raiment [4629 sképasma, skep'-as-mah; from a derivative of σκέπας sképas (a covering; perhaps akin to the base of G4649 through the idea of noticeableness); clothing:—raiment.]

g. content [Strong: 714 arkéō, ar-keh'-o; apparently a primary verb (but probably akin to G142 through the idea of raising a barrier); properly, to ward off, i.e. (by implication) to avail (figuratively, be satisfactory):—be content, be enough, suffice, be sufficient.]
