And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

1. “And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.”

1). During these three days of blindness Saul didn’t eat or drink, and as verse 11 reveals he was also in prayer. I don’t think words can adequately describe the soul searching that was going on within him. This man who according to his own words was “more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers”, who “beyond measure…persecuted the church of God and wasted it”, now knows he was wrong, dreadfully wrong. What a powerful realization. During his three days of fasting and prayer God gave him a vision of a man named Ananias praying for him to receive his sight.
