Genesis 3:4

Genesis 3:4

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

a. NLT: “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.

b. NIV: “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

1. “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.”

e. 1). The first time the devil is introduced in the Biblical text he attacks the word of God and calls God a liar

a). 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Sod of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.”

b). John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
