1). As we shall find, two classes of people are mentioned in this passage (Isaiah 33:10-16). They all are considered to be citizens of Zion. There are sinners and hypocrites and others who are not. This is consistent with the Old Covenant as well as the New Covenant.
a). 2 Samuel 23:6, 7 But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
23:7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.
b). Hebrews 6:7, 8 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
