Daniel 2:1

And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.

 a. ASV: And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams; and his spirit was troubled, and his sleep went from him.

b. YLT: And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, dreamed hath Nebuchadnezzar dreams, and his spirit doth move itself, and his sleep hath been against him; 

c. Classic Amplified: In the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams by which his spirit was troubled and agitated and his sleep went from him.

1. “And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar…”

1). Daniel was not elevated to the higher position of Babylonian court until after he told the king what he dreamed and gave him the interpretation.

2. “...Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.”

e. [was] troubled [Strong: 6470 pa`am paw-am' a primitive root; to tap, i.e. beat regularly; hence (generally) to impel or agitate:--move, trouble.]

f. [and his] sleep [Strong: 8142 shehah shay-naw' or shena (Psa. 127:2) {shay-naw'}; from 3462; sleep:--sleep.]
