Genesis 23:13
And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of
the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I
will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will
bury my dead there.

he replied to Ephron as everyone listened. “No, listen to me. I will buy it
from you. Let me pay the full price for the field so I can bury my dead there.”
b. NIV: and he said to Ephron in
their hearing, “Listen to me, if you will. I will pay the price of the field.
Accept it from me so I can bury my dead there.”
