Genesis 24:67

And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

a. NLT: And Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply, and she was a special comfort to him after the death of his mother.

b. NIV: Isaac brought her into the tent of his mother Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

1). Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah.

a).  Genesis 25:20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

2). Chronologically this was three years after the death of Sarah. When Sarah died she was 127 years old, which meant that Isaac who was born when Sarah was 90 would have been 37 at her death.

a). Genesis 23:1, 2  And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old:these were the years of the life of Sarah.

23:2 And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

b). Genesis 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

1). It looks as Isaac grieved over Sarah for three years and did not begin to heal until after his marriage to Rebekah. Sarah’s tent became their tent.
